Why KM Surgical does not recommend Plasma Pen Treatments.
The Plasma Pen, also called “Fibroblast,” is an invasive treatment that burns the skin and has been tried in various forms for many years. The hot plasma is used to treat loose, crepey skin and wrinkles or fine lines, but unfortunately, many patients have had burn and pigmentation complications with Plasma Pen treatment. These complications can be severe, and for this reason, KM Surgical does not offer Plasma Pen treatment.
Plasma Pen’s technology is outdated and risky compared to current and improved methods of rejuvenating skin. Plasma pen has been banned in some countries, including Canada. This is because, in addition to negative results like scarring, the Plasma Pen lacks the safety parameters of modern options.
There are a range of good alternatives to Plasma Pen treatments that offer excellent results without scarring or other complications and which are also cost effective and performed in a proper medical setting by trained doctors and nurses.
