Angela Millar is an internationally qualified beauty therapist who’s worked in the industry for over 30 years. She specialises in micropigmentation or cosmetic tattooing
of the eyebrows, eyeliner and lips.
Digital technology, together with nano needling, enables adjustable speed and needle configuration. Clients can achieve feathered, powdered, ombre or a combination finish on their brows and, as with the eyeliner, the iron oxide-free pigments can be placed further into the skin for a stronger and longer lasting look, or with less depth for a softer look. Lip liner or lip blush is also available.
Brow micro-pigmentation takes between two and two and a half hours. The first hour is spent shaping the existing brow, mapping and drawing before the
micro-pigmentation begins.
Pigments being developed now give beautiful, natural-looking results. Being a two-treatment procedure, clients can be given a more conservative first treatment, which normally grows confidence for the second stronger-defined treatment.
Angela is part of the KM Surgical and Dermatology specialist medical facility and keeps updated on appearance medicine and technology by travelling to training and conferences annually.
MICROPIGMENTATION
(cosmetic tattooing)
Micropigmentation is a specialised tattooing process where pigments are implanted into the skin to create a permanent shape and colour which lasts for two to five years.
Eyebrows frame the face, so this procedure is ideal for people with light-coloured, uneven or non-existent eyebrows. Permanent eyebrows can bring perfect balance to the shape of your face and the technique is so advanced it’s hard to tell whether it’s your own hair or not.
Permanent eyeliner can enhance the shape and look of your eyes. It can be applied to the upper and/or lower eyelid.
A range of colours allows you to choose from a natural or a darker, more dramatic look.
Enhance the colour and shape of your lips with a permanent lip line, lip line blend or full lip colour in your chosen shade. Reshape and restore colour to faded lips, creating fuller looking lips.
Cosmetic tattooing is ideal for anyone – whether you have a medical condition like alopecia, allergies to cosmetics or awkward scarring, or simply want to save time in the morning.
